I am so sad

You would think that I would have posted something by now. Big things have been going on. Haybear turned 13 WAY BIG!!! our trip to San Diego, and even my new haircut. Which I didn't like at first It was a lot shorter then I asked for.
Why no post?
My memory card died. I am not even sure what happened. 260 pics and no way to see them. Everything tells me unreadable. I can't believe that that happened. I could cry.
Lets face it I can take pictures of sunny CA anytime, but Haybear will only turn 13 one time in her life. That one breaks my heart. No cake, no gifts, no fun times with the family to remember.
Cross your fingers with me that I can find a great IT WIZ that can fix the card for me and save those memories.

I love 5 year olds

Here is the conversation....
Nuker 8: Bull crap
Mom: maybe we should not say that. There are nicer word to use please.
Nader 5: Can we say chicken crap?
Much laughter by all in the car.

What do we learn from this? Bull is the bad word.

Called to Serve

Matthew 4:19 ... Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.

Last night the youth of our stake went down town to temple square to the Called to Serve program. We went on a tour of the Temple grounds and learn new history about the pioneers. Did you know on the Assemble Hall there is one spire that does not have a point. It used to be a chimney. Look for it the next time you are there.
After we went into the north visitor center for a video on serving a mission and heard testimonies on the work. Sweet sisters from all over the world sharing their testimonies of the gospel, and their the love of the lord.
It was wonderful. The spirit was so strong and the sister were great. They help the youth know and understand that their Heavenly father loves them so much.
They help me know that my Heavenly Father loves me. It is something I still need to hear. It is still something I want to be told. Who doesn't want to be told I love you. When those words come from the Lord its even better.
It is so nice to know that our Father in Heaven loves us so much that he sent is son even Jesus Christ to this earth to show us the way home and to atone for our mistakes. That knowledge makes life just a little easier.
Giving that knowledge to our youth will only help them to come through temptation and be the better for it. It will help them to stand up and go forward with this truth to all the world.
How grateful I am to be a witness to this great work.

Don't forget to VOTE

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and
controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed
lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of
living on public assistance."

Bigger than you

Waves crash endlessly upon the shore. The heat of summer is relieved by the cool winds of autumn, then winter, then spring and summer again and again in an ever-repeating cycle.
The forces that make it all happen and keep it all going are truly awesome. Though they can be explained and understood to a degree, they are impossible to fully comprehend.

In this life there is much that you can influence, much that you can do, and much that you can accomplish. Even so, there are many other things about which you can do nothing but accept, experience and stand in awe.

Sometimes the best thing to do with life is allow yourself to feel its wonder and beauty. Sometimes it is helpful and even comforting to remember that there are things you can never change.

For by acknowledging what you cannot do, you more fully appreciate and utilize those things you can do. By accepting and valuing that life is bigger than you, your own perspective is greatly enhanced.

Life is rich and varied and awesome beyond anything you can ever imagine. So go ahead and accomplish all you can imagine, for when you're done there's always room for more.

Saying Good By

I turned over all of my girls camp stuff to the stake leaders today. (I was released due to my new calling last week) This was very difficult. I didn't think it would be that hard.
I had been working on camp only scents June. I know that sounds like along time, but camp isn't until next June.
Anyway, I cried. I didn't want to. I thought I would be fine. I had already cried so I was sure I that I was done. Whatever. They asked a little about how I came to the theme for camp, and there came the waterworks.
I guess it was just going to happen. I want so much for the young women to go to camp and come away knowing for sure that their Father in Heaven loves them. I want them to see the potential they have to become great women. I want them to bloom into the amazing people I know they are. I know girls camp is a great place to teach them.
I know I will still be there with our ward. However, there is something to seeing girls camp for the perspective of a stake leader you don't get anywhere else. Kris said the something about being a ward leader. I think we are both right.
So now it is in the very capable hand of the stake leaders. I know they will do a great job. I sure they wont change to many of my ideas.(I know where they live JK) They are such great leaders. They only have the girls best interest in mind. They will follow the promptings of the Lord and seek him often in pray for guidance.
I will miss so much serving with them and want to say thank you to all of them for their great example and their love while I was with them.
You all are the best.
